Sisyrinchium arenarium       0

Dit is een overblijvende kruidachtige plant, 12-60cm hoog, met een verticale of schuine wortelstok. Er zijn talrijke basale bladeren, langwerpig lancetvormig, plat, 10-40cm bij 3-6mm, grijsgroen.

De bloeiwijze bestaat uit een lange as, met talrijke schutbladen naar de top toe waar groepen bloemen omgeven door transparante schutbladen zijn gerangschikt. De bloemen zijn tot 2cm in diameter, met 6 lichtgele, langwerpige bloemblaadjes met bruine nerven. De helmknoppen worden na het openen gebogen.

De vrucht is een ellipsoïde of omgekeerd eivormige capsule van 1,2-9mm, met bijna eivormige zwarte zaden.

LENTE Na het oogsten van de zaden, 8 weken droog bewaren bij kamertemperatuur en daarna droog bewaren in de koelkast bij 4°C tot het zaaien. Week de zaden in water bij kamertemperatuur gedurende 12h. Bewaar in de koelkast at 4°C gedurende 8 weeks in vochtig substraat. Zaai de zaden op 5mm diepte in de Bol substraat tussen 5-12°C. Tijdens het ontkiemen het substraat vochtig en in het daglicht houden. De zaden ontkiemen in 3-4 weken.
Het gemiddelde zaadgewicht is 217,4 per gram (0,0046g).
