De Geslacht: Eucalyptus Ondergeslacht: Symphyomyrtus Sectie: Adnataria Ondersectie: Terminales Serie: Melliodorae Onderserie: Leucoxylon heeft de volgende kenmerken: De knoppen twee opercula hebben, de eitjes zijn in vier rijen, de zaden zijn afgeplat-eivormig, de zaadlobben zijn reniform en de helmknoppen zijn stijf op de meeldraden. Binnen sectie Adnataria maakt Eucalyptus sideroxylon 'Fawcett's Pink' deel uit van een kleine subgroepreeks Melliodorae, verder gekenmerkt door het hebben van knoppen in okselclusters, het buitenste operculum wordt vastgehouden tot de bloei wanneer beide opercula samen worden afgeworpen, en de bloemen hebben buitenste meeldraden die steriel zijn terwijl binnenste meeldraden zijn. vruchtbaar en een brede meeldradenring die vaak op de vrucht te zien is, maar uiteindelijk bladverliezend is.

LENTE Selecteer de grootste en meest vlezige BRUINE zaden. Zaai de zaden op 2mm diepte in de Drainerende zaaigrond tussen 20-25°C. Tijdens het ontkiemen het substraat vochtig en in het daglicht houden. De zaden ontkiemen in 3-6 weken. De levensvatbaarheid van het zaad, bewaard onder goede omstandigheden, is 10 jaren.
