Van Latijnse 'rosaceus', roze, in verwijzing naar de kleur van bloei. Het is endemisch in het westen van Australië, ten oosten van Laverton en Queen Victoria Springs richting Neale Junction in de grote Victoria-woestijn.

Botanische beschrijving
Het is een mallee die een lignotuber vormt. De bast is glad over de hele stam, donker- en lichtgrijs over rozegrijs of grijsgeel en wit.
De jonge bladeren zijn sessiel met tot kort gesteeld, afwisselend en lineair. Ze zijn 3,5 tot 8cm lang en 0,2 tot 0,4cm breed, dof en grijsgroen. De min of meer rechtopstaande volwassen bladeren zijn afwisselend en gesteeld (bladsteel 0,4 tot 1cm lang). Blad lineair tot smal langwerpig. Ze zijn 6 tot 12cm lang en 0,5 tot 1cm breed. Basis loopt taps toe tot de bladsteel. Hele rand, puntige top. Aan beide kanten dezelfde kleur, dof, grijsgroen tot blauwgroen. Dichte netvorming en intra-marginale ader dicht bij de rand.
De onvertakte okselstandige bloeiwijze is hangend, op een steel van 1 tot 3cm lang. Het heeft 3 tot 7 knoppen op steeltjes van 0,7 tot 1cm lang. De volwassen knoppen zijn eivormig (1,1 tot 1,7cm lang en 0,6 tot 0,7cm breed). Litteken aanwezig, slank snavelvormig operculum, meeldraden vergroeid in een buis voor ongeveer de helft van hun lengte. Sommige buitenste filamenten zijn rechtopstaand, de rest is in verschillende mate verbogen. Helmknoppen langwerpig, veelzijdig, aan de rug bevestigd, longitudinaal gespleten. Lange, rechte stijl, stompe tot taps toelopende stempel. 4 tot 5 locules. Roze, soms crème of rode, bloei werd geregistreerd in december.
De vrucht op steel van 0,8 tot 1,1cm lang, is licht halfrond tot omgekeerd kegelvormig (bijna schotelvormig), meet 0,3 tot 0,5cm lang en 0,6 tot 1,2cm breed. 4 tot 5 kleppen. De zaden zijn bruin, 1 tot 2mm lang, hoekig eivormig, schaars geribbeld op het ventrale oppervlak, dorsaal oppervlak ondiep netvormig. Hilum ventraal tot min of meer terminaal.

Binnen deze onderafdeling Eucalyptus rosacea is in serie Curviptera, een van de ongeveer 30 nauw verwante soorten en ondersoorten die verder worden gekenmerkt door het hebben van grote knoppen in schermen van een, drie of zeven, meeldradendraden rechtopstaand of schuin (zelden verbogen) in knop, en grote vruchten meestal met een stijgende schijf en uitgeoefende kleppen.

LENTE Selecteer de grootste en meest vlezige BRUINE zaden. Zaai de zaden op 2mm diepte in de Drainerende zaaigrond tussen 15-20°C. Tijdens het ontkiemen het substraat vochtig en in het daglicht houden. De zaden ontkiemen in 3-6 weken. De levensvatbaarheid van het zaad, bewaard onder goede omstandigheden, is 10 jaren.
