Description
Voici une fougère qui présente une large aire de répartition. Elle est connue en Amérique du Nord et du Sud, dans la moitié Est de l'Afrique ainsi qu'en Macaronésie (ensemble d'îles, à l'Ouest de l'Afrique et de l'Europe, dans l'océan Atlantique, composé des archipels des Açores, de Madère, des îles Canaries et des îles du Cap-Vert). Cette espèce colonise (comme de très nombreux Asplénium) les anfractuosités de roches, les vallons rocheux, les sous-bois moussus Sur substrat siliceux.
Expériences
Lot de jeunes plants issus de semis, plantes apparemment vigoureuses mais qui nécessiteront encore du temps.

Description botanique
Elle présente généralement un port dressé, des frondes de 15 à 50cm de hauteur, une fois divisées au rachis noir-brun et aux pennes vert tendre. Celles-ci sont allongées et finement ciselées.
Elle peut aisément être confondue avec A.lunulatum aux frondes émettant des bulbilles.
