Description
Keckiella cordifolia occurs primarily in the South Coast Ranges, the San Bernardino Mountains, the Peninsular Ranges, and the Channel Islands. It grows in wooded, riparian habitats and is the most mesic of Keckiellas at an elevation of 0-1500m.

Botanical Description
The stems are climbing, 10-30dm, glabrous or short-hairy when young.
The leaves are opposite. The blade is ovate, 20-65mm, base rounded, truncate, or cordate, margins usually 3-11-toothed.
The inflorescences are in panicles, glandular and hairy. The calyx is 7-13mm, lobes lanceolate. The corolla is red to reddish orange, 31-43mm, tube plus indistinct throat 18-25mm, adaxial lip 11-21mm. The pollen sacs are 1.1-1.5mm. The staminode is densely yellow-hairy, included.
