Description
This species is from Central Asia (Pamiro Alay). In subalpine meadows, in grassy places on slopes.
Botanical Description
The bulb is 6-8cm in diameter. The leafy stem is 50-120cm. The leaves are in whorls, lanceolate, 12-24cm x 5-9cm, bright green, numerous (35-50). There are numerous bracts, above the flowers.
There are 5-20 flowers, in crowded umbel-like inflorescence, broadly bell-shaped, orange, dark yellow, carmine-red, large, 6cm long.

Sowing instructions
AUTUMN After harvesting the seeds, keep dry for 8weeks at room temperature then keep dry in the fridge at 4°C until sowing. Sow the seeds at 5mm depth in the Bulb Substrate between 59-68°F. During germination keep the substrate moist and in daylight.
The viability of the seeds, kept under good conditions, is 2 years.
