Description
This species is endemic from Turkey. It occurs in montane regions.
Botanical Description
This is a perennial, 4-14cm, densely pruinose. The leaves are 15-22 x 1.5-2.5mm, spinose, squarrose, narrowed from the base to an aristate apex, margins very thick. The long shoot leaves are 13-17 x 0.5-1mm, erect, subspinose.

The flowers are usually solitary, sometimes in pairs. There are 6-10 bracteoles, shorter than the calyx tube to longer, narrowly ovate to ovate, long-aristate, margins narrowly membranous. The calyx is 16-18 x 3-4mm, widest in the lower half, teeth 6-8mm, linear, long-mucronate. The petal limb is pink, 5-6mm, oblong, barbulate, dentate.

SPRING Sow the seeds at 2mm depth in the Well Drained Seed Sowing Mix and pouwder with 2mm Smoked Vermiculite (0,012g/cm²) between 59-68°F. During germination keep the substrate moist and in daylight. The seeds germinate in 1-2 weeks.
