Description
This species is quite common. It is from Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Alpes-Maritimes, from 400 to 1800m. It occurs in rocky areas, scree, lawns, forest edges, supra-Mediterranean forests.

Botanical Description
This is a perennial plant of 20-60cm. It is a glabrous plant. The stem is slightly woody at base. They are lying down or straightened, very leafy.
It has petiolate leaves. The leaf blade is oval in outline, slightly diamond-shaped, toothed in the upper half, wedge-shaped at the base, shiny above and paler green below. The floral leaves are often smaller than the flowers, bract-shaped, small.
The purple flowers are borne by a pedicel, grouped in groups of 4 to 6 in whorls arranged in clusters, more or less arranged on the same side. The calyx is glabrous, purple, humped in its anterior part, provided with slightly unequal teeth, ending in a point. The fruit consist of 4 achenes.

Sowing instructions
SPRING Sow the seeds at 2mm depth in the Well Drained Seed Sowing Mix between 59-68°F. During germination keep the substrate moist and in daylight. The seeds germinate in 1-2 weeks.
