Description
Here is a fern that has a wide range. It is known in North and South America, in the Eastern half of Africa as well as in Macaronesia (The set of islands, West of Africa and Europe, in the Atlantic Ocean, composed of the archipelagos of the Azores, Madeira, the Canary Islands and the Cape Verde Islands). This species settles (like very many Asplenium) the crevices of rocks, the rocky valleys and the mossy undergrowth On siliceous substrate.

Experiences
Lot of young plants from seedlings, apparently vigorous plants but which will still require time.

Botanical Description
It usually has an erect habit, with leaves from 15 to 50cm high, divided into black-brown spines and tender green pinnae. These are elongated and finely engraved.

It can easily be confused with A.lunulatum with leaves emitting bulblets.
